Second Attempt

December 17, 2004 @ 01:19 AM

Tomorrow, I go take a test at Shoreline Community College. If I pass, I will be a Sun Certified Java Programmer (JDK 1.4). I hope to pass of course, but I haven’t really studied, and last time I took the test (4 years ago) I did NOT pass. But last time I scored a 68%, and this time the passing grade has been lowered to 51%. So, long story short, we’ll see. With my current lack of a degree (though I’m working on that), racking up some certifications could be useful. My 4 years of experience in high-end enterprise level application development certainly help the resume, but so would a little piece of paper saying “Certified.”
